What You Need To Know About Hoodia?

The discovery of Hoodia might just well be the exception to this. In fact Hoodia weight loss supplements are fast becoming the number one slimming product as manufacturers everywhere can confirm. While there is no secret about this plant, most people know very little about where it comes from.

Found in some of the deserts of South Africa, the Hoodia is a cactus, one of thirteen different varieties. In fact, this cactus is so good at reducing the appetite that it is considered, by medical science, as the most effective appetite inhibitor on the planet.

Before being released for general use it was tested on people just to see how effective it was and whether there would be any side-effects. Nobody on the team required food or drink, once they had consumed it, for the entire day.

People fortunate enough to use Hoodia weight loss products that contain extracts from this plant do not experience any ill effects when used. The strange thing is the fact that while the product is being used, it does not make the user feel tired or listless. Anyone using it should still eat healthily during the day and also maintain their fluid levels. This means that the amount of food eaten is reduced. Hoodia is an ideal method of controlling the appetite of people who cannot control their own.

Remember the cactus is found in remote areas and is rare so weight loss products containing the extracts will be expensive. Be aware that many of them are forged, containing little or no real extract at all. Avoid those offers that appear to be ‘too good to be true’.

What’s your BMI?

Take a look at the BMI chart on page 25. Find your height and weight, and locate the number where the two come together. Write your BMI in your personal database.

  • Is it under 20? You may be underweight.

If your BMI is under 20 and you think you’re fat, do not embark on a weight loss program without talking with your doctor. There’s a strong possibility that you suffer from body dysphoria rather than being overweight

  • Is it under 25? That means your weight is normal.
  • Is it close to 25? You are right on the border between normal weight and overweight. In your case, regular exercise and sensible eating can help you lose some pounds, get fit, and keep you on the safe side of the BMI table.
  • Is it 25 or over? If so, you are overweight and need to do something about it.
  • Is it over 30? If so, you are obese.

If your BMI is over 30, you are a higher risk for many health problems. You may already have one or more disorders or conditions that not only threaten your health, but may require special strategies for diet and exercise. I want you to succeed. I do not want you to further harm your health by following a dangerous diet.
